Iron Horse Dressage, LLC., is a World Class Equestrian Facility designed and built by Wendy McKelvy, AIA. Wendy’s passion is riding dressage which makes her uniquely qualified to design a facility that meets all of the requirements of the modern dressage enthusiast.
Wendy previously designed, built and managed a successful dressage facility in Colorado. Much of the success of the Colorado facility was due to her partnership with the trainers of Westmanton Stables, Grant and Sharon Schneidman and Nicole Glusenkamp, all USDF Gold Medalists. Iron Horse Farms, based in Elizabeth, CO quickly became the premier dressage facility in Colorado and was considered by its clients as ‘the Harvard of Dressage’. Because of Westmanton Stable’s incredible training and horse care, IHF had a waiting list from its inception.
Unfortunately, a job opportunity caused a move to the Boston area. After not finding a comparable facility in the area, Wendy decided to sell Iron Horse Farms and build a new facility based on the successful model in Colorado. Thankfully, Grant, Sharon and Nicole agreed to move with them and keep their successful partnership intact.
In the fall of 2018, the McKelvy’s broke ground on Iron Horse Dressage, LLC. It opened in the spring of 2020 and provides services not offered anywhere else in Massachusetts. Between the state of the art facility and the unmatched training and horse care of Westmanton Stables, Iron Horse Dressage is the THE premier dressage facility in New England.
